86th Tree Appreciation Walk, Mumbai Sunday 24thth Sep, 2017 Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali

Dear Friends,

The Moody Monsoon has been throwing its weight all around, making life difficult for some but in SGNP it has created a land of plentiful for its rightful Inhabitants……….every inch of land is covered with herbs like Til (Sesame orientale), Takla (Cassia tora), Hill Turmeric (Cucurma pseuomontana), Wild Mong (Vigna radiate), Undhaphul (Trichodesma indicum) and many more. Almost every tree has some climbers on them, such as Nolvel (Dioscoria bulbifera), Dioscoria pentaphylla, Dioscoria hispida, Climbing Fern (Lygodium flexuosum)……fluttering butterflies chasing each other………buzzing bees collecting pollens from wild flowers……Lets breath in “aroma from the trees”…….We invite you all to join us for a Tree Appreciation Walk in Malad Trail, SGNP, on 24thth Sep,2017

The 86th walk on Sunday 24thth Sep, 2017
Venue: Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/group/TAWMumbai/
Time: 7.30 am
Duration of walk: 2 hours
Meeting Point: After buying the ticket at the gate meet us at NIC Centre which is 5 min away.

We will be there at NIC centre till 7.45 am and then leave for the Malad trail. So don’t be late please.

Also note we have to pay Rs 75/- to forest department for entering the trail and Rs 10 for the forest guide. Please pay the said money to your group leader and kindly bring exact change so we do not waste time]

Most Important:
1. Malad Trail is a restricted area and we have taken permission to conduct the walk there. It is about 3 km inside the park from the main gate.

2. Please register with us as early as possible so that we know who all are coming and can inform at NIC centre.

3. Its not possible for us to arrange for the vehicle from gate to Malad Trail, please make your own arrangements to reach there which is just 3 km from the main gate. Please do car pooling…do little net working.

Very Important : Please Don’t be late, specially those who are coming for the 1st time for the trail in the park & not familiar with the area….there will be other groups also for their walks and it will be very difficult to locate us once we leave for Malad Trail. Also the que for tickets will be very long so do come early.

And as you all are aware that in forest we have to follow certain Do’s & Don’ts……..Here are some….
