LGBTQ Now! – Queer Networking Now!
January 5 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Young queer people across the country are finding different platforms to engage with the community in different ways. From Pride Walks across cities with thousands of people marching for equality to queer open mic nights, LGBTQ networking has come a long way in a very short time!
Join us on a power-packed panel discussion on Queer Networking Now! RSVP here: http://indiaculturelab.org/events/special-events/lgbtq-now-queer-networking-now/
Meet the founders of some of the most exciting Indian queer networks. We will be joined by Sakshi Juneja of Gaysi Family, an online safe space where the Desi-Gay community comes together to share personal stories, Ishaan Sethi, co-founder and CEO of Delta App, India’s first homegrown LGBTQ networking app, Sachin Jain, founder of Gay Housing Assistance Resource (G.H.A.R.) bulletin board, and Koninika Roy of Yaariyan, an LGBTQ youth initiative by The Humsafar Trust.
Our panelists will talk about how their own work has transformed LGBTQ networking and how queer networks have evolved to create exciting new spaces – both digital and physical.
Come one, come all! This is a networking event after all! Entry is free as always.
About LGBTQ Now!
We’re proud to announce that our Culture Lab is a part of Queer Azaadi Mumbai – Mumbai Pride, and we will bring you 3 exciting events for Pride month, January 2018! Through our events, we seek to explore youth culture within the Indian LGBTQ movement; how it is pushing beyond the boundaries of activism and configuring new ways of expressing and celebrating queerness. Other than Queer Networking Now!, we will also host Queer Theatre Now! on January 12 and Queer Aesthetics Now! on January 20. Join us for these too!
